Random Shinigami Scenes (Draft)

This is just a rough draft.  So forgive me for the grammatical errors and lack of details.  But I promise to brush it up the soonest time possible.

On a Sunny Day...

"I'm going to my dentist tomorrow.", I casually mention not looking directly at him.
"Take care.", his gentle reply.

Disappointment prickles through my system but, I remember to thank him anyway for wishing my safety.  I sigh away the ill feeling towards this whimsical intruder who has been invading my privacy for several months now.

Not long after when I hear the other swivel chair in the room slowly being dragged towards my desk.  In my peripheral view, I see him sit on it.  His stare sends chill to my spine, I can almost feel my ears burning.  It's annoying to manage these emotions he's been putting me through and so I angrily faced him.

"Will you stop staring at me?", my voice was rather commanding than asking.
"Do you want me to tag along with you?", he innocently asked instead.
I stuttered as I ask, "W-what?".
"It might be dangerous for you to go to your dentist on your own.", was his answer.

I stand up in confusion and turn my back against him.  "W-well, if you insist, then okay."

And I smile...

On a Starry Night...

"What a fine night.", I selflessly thought to myself as I gaze through the stars shining brightly in the sky.  I lean towards the window sill to get a better view.

"I'm going out for a moment.", I hear him say.
"Sure, it's not like you live here.", it's true, he doesn't stay with me all the time though, he frequents here in my room. If he does that because he's bored then he must be bored an awful lot.  But, whenever he isn't around, I'm the one who's left bored.
"Do you want to join me?", he asks ever so casual.
"Where?", true it surprised me. Gladly, I regained my composure in split-seconds and didn't stutter.
"I'm going to meet with my friends in a nearby park.", he answers.
"Seriously? I may not be welcomed there.", I voice.
"Who cares? I want you to come.", and he gives a familiar gentle smile that tells me there's nothing I should worry about.

And my heart melted...

Filipino Netizens, Let us be ONE

I know this blog is almost empty. Heck! I don't even have any followers. OTL

However, should you stumble in my humble realm, I would like to campaign Filipino's petition against the Anti-Cybercrime Law -- otherwise known as E-Martial Law -- that will be implemented by our government on October 3rd.

FILIPINO NETIZENS, LET US BE ONE!

We can't sit idly by while our rights are being quelled and prevalent crimes such as drug trafficking, human trafficking, prostitution, terrorism, illegal gambling, corruption, etc. are just being set aside.

Need I say more that a good portion of net users are taxpayers.  Isn't it excruciating to see how much money  the government takes away from us only to find out that it's being used/misused against us?

So what are you waiting for?  Click the link below and join us in our petition.

Tips on Writing

Now, I know this post has nothing to do with my blog's theme.  I really apologize for that.  It's been a while since I last visited my blog, and quite frankly I'm not really much of a blogger enthusiast.  Truth be told, I fiddled in different ideas such as remodeling the blog, think of a new theme, or just shut it down altogether.

So while I'm yet to reach a conclusion about what to do with my humble blog, I've decided to come back from hiatus and make my second post

Though still undecided on my blog's fate, I'm decided that I will share some helpful tips in writing. So here it is...

1. Reread and proofread. Once, twice, thrice, or until you're satisfied.

2. It's better to have a fresh set of eyes double check your work.

3. Learn to KISS~ ;) And I meant Keep It Short and Simple silly!

4. Try to put yourself in your readers' shoes (or eyes, whatever works XD). It's given that you understand what you're about to post since you're the one who composed it (doh!). But hey, will your readers understand it, too? Because in case you haven't realized it yet, it's your readers who matter.

5. Choose your words very carefully and wisely. Refer to your handy dandy dictionary if you have to. It may shock you to find a commonly used word you thought you knew all along has a completely different meaning in the dictionary. So whether you're in doubt or not, consult Mr. Webster all the same.

Now, I ain't trying to make myself look like I'm Ms. Grammar Perfect. God knows I'm still miles away from becoming an expert. I'm just trying to be helpful... that or I just wanna avoid reading stuff that could give me a headache. :P

If it also makes you feel any better, I also make grammar boo-boo in posts, texts, e-mails, and whatnot... in fact, I'm crossing my fingers, hoping and praying that this post is error free. But who am I kidding? I can't rid the feeling that I just dug my own sweet grave. Anywho, this is becoming waaaaaay too long for a post.

So forgive me if ironically I made some grammatical mistakes on my lecture that has something to do with Grammar. LOL. So let this be a lesson, we can't avoid making mistakes on our posts from time to time. The moral of the story is... let's just avoid committing grammatical errors like... i dunno... every time...? XD

Kidding aside,
I hope you found my article worthwhile to read just as how I found it worthwhile to write. Before we part ways, I hope to impart you a lesson.  Word is a powerful tool that could either build or destroy a world; make peace or create war; gratify or displease someone; therefore, we should never take it for granted.

The First Encounter

Her eyes slowly -- though involuntarily -- opened, as if searching for something in the midst of the night.  Blinking to adjust, her still blurry vision was welcomed by the familiar darkness of her room.  She always turns off any source of light before she goes to bed.  Such manner was not a force of habit or whim, but simply is her only way to fall asleep.  Nothing peculiar registered to her senses, so what could have possibly stirred her from slumber?

Suddenly there it is... a faint glow.  A man, standing right across her.  No... this man isn't glowing, unlike her first assumption.  No light shines upon her room yet she can clearly see him staring back at her.  Such impossibility made her head shake.

"Are you scared?", the man asked.  He has such a gentle tone to his voice that made her want to believe this intruder has no ill intention towards her.

She stared at him once more, but, this time to carefully scrutinize this uninvited guest.  His beautiful face was too enchanting for her, it was so close to perfection that she failed to find the right words to describe him.  Perhaps the right adjectives to define him will slowly unravel as she gets to know him better.

"But am I supposed to know him better?", she conscientiously thought.  Isn't she provoking danger by inviting this stranger into a conversation?

"Who are you?", she finally uttered, not bothering to answer his first question.  Why does she always have to be painstakingly curious?  Under normal circumstances, she'd definitely love to roll her eyes out of exasperation to herself.

The corner of his well-defined lips turned upward giving her a flawless lopsided smile.  "I'm a Shinigami, could also go by the name of Grim Reaper or Angel of Death.", he answered with amusement.  There's a certain glint in his smoldering silvery blue eyes that made her think he's thoroughly enjoying this.

"But do you have a name or something?", she retorted.  Her forehead creased by a fraction, perhaps an indication of annoyance.

Yes, his answer came quite a shock to her though she expected no less.  How else can it be explained that she can vividly see this gorgeous being in this unlit room?  It can only be the rational explanation to this ridiculous and bizarre encounter.

Her gaze intently followed the Shinigami as his slender fingers trailed the curves of a chair standing beside him.  Gracefully, he pulled it and sat on it cross-legged.  "I am not obliged to answer that.", he firmly replied.

"Then why are you here?  Are you going to take me with you?"
